A normal questions, we or elders normally put to
Kids. What do you want to become in life ? or when you grow ?
Normal reply comes from Kids !!!
- Engineer
- Doctor
- Chartered Accountant
- Computer Engineer etc........
These replies are based on Kids environment where he lives
and grow.
I remember my
childhood days , even after 40 – 50 years same practice is continued in 70 – 80
% populations. After Engineering most of the populations in early 2000 – 2010 or
even today prefer careers in IT’s , and rest prefer other sectors and higher studies within or outside country.
In Today’s competitive environment lots of other options
available to student after 12th or even after graduation :
- Hospitality
- Tourism
- Entertainment
- Marketing
- Education
- Independent businesses
- Fashion design
- Handicraft etc.............
Career councillors are available to advise parents and kids , so
that better options can be chosen at an early ages ( may be when student are in
8 – 9 standards ) as per choice and
interest of the students. More awareness need to be created among parents so
that right decisions may be taken at right time and proper career options may
be chosen for children.
