Learning through a small word - “Watch ”

Once I got an opportunity to attend a discourse on self awareness in a school. Speaker asked a question to all the students raising his one hand with a small table clock .

What is this ?

Entire house voiced  -  Watch ...watch.......watch....................

There after a pin drop silence for a moment. Speaker said  its right answer dear students. Speaker asked another question.

What is the purpose of watch ? - Simple answer from audience – It shows time

Is there any other meaning of word WATCH ? One student raised his hand and replied, yes sir

It is  - To see. Right my dear. Speaker started further,

 Dear students ,

 We have two eyes to see , two ears to listen, and senses for feelings  -  touch, taste and smell to know our outer world . But we have a third sense to know our inner world. Just remember this five letter word watch and its meaning which give us , direction to create our destiny , and live a life as per our choice and wish. Let us see these letters and extension to understand further.

Now the sequence is :

Watch your thoughts because thoughts becomes words.

Watch your words because words become action

Watch your action because action becomes habits

Watch your character because character becomes destiny and destiny is LIFE

Watch and align your thoughts , words and actions properly and create right habits, character ,destiny and life.

The conclusion is “ You are the creator of your own destiny and life ”  - What you think you become.

An important concern – General Safety Awareness

Psychology says Safety is  an human instinct or response for survival -  “ Fight or Flight ” . An inbuilt mechanism which works in emergency . People  imparted safety awareness in general and specific in Industries  by way of:

Ø  Display of safety slogans/posters

Ø  Safety awareness classes

Ø  Tool room talks

Ø  Safety regulations

Ø  Work permits and so many other initiatives .

I started blog writing  with “ Safety First ” instinct in my mind. Few  repeated fatal incidents in the country prompted me to start with safety.

Spirituality – “ My personal understanding and meaning ”

The idea for writing  this article came to my mind , when I was reviewing feedback on  my blogs and video. There was a specific feedback on “ My personal understanding and meaning of spirituality”

“ Spirituality ” – A word on dictionary defined as:

Spirituality has to do with the spirit, not as in ghosts, but as in the essence of being human — your soul or your inner life. ... Religions usually have defined beliefs, rituals, and guidelines; spirituality is more individual.

Today , when I look back to find the meaning of spirituality in my life ,  I consider my  parents as  my first teacher to whom I learnt the real meaning of “ Spirituality”

Ø  Mother taught me  – Simplicity

Ø  Father taught me  –  Self Discipline

Both were just acquired  primary education ,but having very deep understanding of life. It gave me lots of insight for worldly living. When I started writing blog & Video on my personal experience sharing  I  gave the titled unconsciously : Spirituality at works : works mean in my mind is action or act whether one remains at :

ü  Home  

ü  Road

ü  Society

ü  Work place or elsewhere

There are very popular quotes on these two personality traits ,  very widely used by me in  my  worldly living.

·         Simplicity – Simple living and high thinking

·         Self discipline – All development starts with self development

Knowingly or unknowingly I followed these two principles  and I was considered as spiritual person by my colleagues and friends in my life.

Therefore I consider the meaning of spirituality as  _  Simplicity and self discipline.

A success key – “Preparedness”

Preparedness  - A  commonly used term meaning – “ The state of being prepared for a particular situation or task ” – Readiness

synonyms  : alertness, preparation, willingness, zeal , mobility.

Success or outcome depends on degree of “ Preparedness”  More you prepared  more is the probability of success.

There is a saying “ where there is a will there is a way ” Therefore the steps for preparedness may be considered  as :

A natural strategy of survival – “ Relationship ”

Dictionary defines the meaning of “ Relationship” as: The way in which two or more people or things are connected or the state of being connected. Or

The way in which two or more people, groups, countries etc , talk to , behave toward, and deal with each other....

Survival or existence of people, things , culture , group, countries & nature is  inter dependent and have a definite relationship and harmony for smooth functioning & survival
