NLP Experience

My Experience with “ NLP Practitioner Certificate Training “ with NLP Coaching Academy
I attended NLP Practitioner workshop in the month of Jan,2015.  It was five days experiential workshop facilitated by NLP Coach of NLP Coaching Academy , Bangalore. Before this workshop I came across  NLP concept through my friends and books, but it was just theoretical and of academic interest only. During the workshop , we were given opportunity to practice the NLP concepts and techniques physically and calibrate the results immediately after the practice. This programme gave me better understanding which has helped me to integrate my basic knowledge of training learning with NLP techniques.
I am working as a Trainer  and used to facilitate training and learning programmes for Engineers and Executives of various companies and organisation. After attending this 5days workshop i could able to integrate the knowledge of NLP in my training contents and methodology which has resulted more effective and interesting. Also it helps me to understand the questions raised by participants in better way. I also projected myself as NLP coach in addition to my normal role as Trainer.

Experience with Art of Living

My experience with Art of Living – Advance Meditation Programme

I came across Art of Living in the year 2000 in Gujarat. A group of Volunteers consisting of Doctors, Social workers  approached  and introduce the Art of Living – A world largest Volunteer based NGO – represented by Vykti Vikas Kendra India (VVKI) in India  and about various courses  for individual benefits offered by the organisation. Advanced Meditation Course is a 4 days residential programme i attended at AOL Gujarat Ashram in the year 2003 - 04 .
Before this programme one need to attend a Basic Programme ( which is now named as Happiness Programme ). The Happiness programme gave a feel of self awareness and  purpose of life, how one can live a peaceful, happy and contented life with family, neighbours and society. Few simple Yogasana, a special rhythmic  breathing technique  know as Sudarshan Kriya ( Which is the core of the programme ) and meditation was experienced during the programme.
Few guidelines were provided to practice continuous at home , which have resulted significant benefits to me on physical level as well mental. My severe migraine  pain and breathing problem reduced considerably within few days of practice and now it is no more a heath issue .
In Advance course  our batch size was 100 + of mixed group young , middle age and old ages. The course structure was consisting yoga practice, meditation , knowledge sharing, sewa, satsang and silence ( in other word practice of  5 – S – ie Sadhana, Sewa, Satsang, Silence and Smile ) . Advance Meditation techniques gave an experience of total hollow and emptiness resulting peace and blissful state of mind . Since then i am practicing  the key learning   taught during the sessions. In the year 2012 after i superannuated from services i shifted to Bangalore and refresh my courses once again and enjoying my life with fuller satisfaction and zeal.

Total Quality Management

Total Quality Management

(T.Q.M.)

Since last one decade these three letters have become very common among the Engineers/Managers in an organization. In early days of industrialization  we started with concept of Quality Measurement / Quality Control/ Quality Assurance. TQM has come after a series of activities and still process are going further ahead in to- days world of global competition and liberalization. TQM  has formed a base for all further development rather it’s a foundation.

Let us understand the term:  What is T.Q.M. ? in an organization

Letter “T”  stands for – Total  ie all the areas/ all the activities/everybody/always.

Letter “Q” stands for -  Quality  ie Customer satisfaction/ Customer delight.

Letter “M” stands for – Management ie Structure/ Systems/ Procedures/ Processes/

Basically TQM is a concept, perception and process of improvement. It has its core values and one has to apply them for achieving the excellence in  an organization.

Core Values:

1.Total Quality Control: One of the important core value which is possible with self
                                        discipline and patience.

2.Waste elimination: Another aspect which is possible with openness

3. Total employee involvement: This is only possible with respect and trust

CORE VALUES are the soul of any organization or a system. One and all the elements are required to have those values for achieving the excellence and success in our operations. Organizations are forming policies for achieving their results, the ultimate objectives are to provide product and services to their customer upto their full satisfaction and expectations. Total Quality Management is  one of the best and  effective strategy for achieving the excellence and success in any organization.

It is of course a new buzz word for us, but our father of nation “Mahatma Gandhi” has said long back:

“ A customer is the most important visitor to our premises .
He is not depend on us, we are dependent on him.
He is not an interruption on our work, he is its purpose.
He is not an out sider on our business, he is part of it.
We are not doing him a favor by serving him.
He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so”

TQM is an integrated approach in delighting customers, by meeting their expectations on a continuous basis through involvement of people, working on continuous improvement in all products and processes, along with proper problem solving methodology.

“Safety” – A way of life

“Safety” – A way of life

Safety is a nature of all creature on this earth . Every one wants to be safe and secured for his/her survival. But  there is always  a question in everybody’s mind – Who is responsible for safety ?  . This needs to be examined and exercised . Whenever any casualty or unpleasant or unwanted incident happens, people blame to someone else or the systems or Govt. except themselves. There are safety guide lines provided by the experts to investigate the incident  to understand the right causes  and thereafter take  corrective action to avoid  the  reoccurrence in future. We would like to quote few examples of our country:

1. Crash of Helicopters  - repetitive incidents and loss of VIPs
2. Fall of baby in  abandon borewells  - repetitive incidents and loss of innocent babies.

Who is responsible for such reoccurrences  ?  Is the Govt responsible or  someone else ?

Such repetitions are also happening in our day to day personal as well as professional areas of operations.

There are slogans, awareness programmes, safety day celebrations, safety rules, act and so many other initiative and  measures   taken by the authorities to educate people and enforce the safety culture with a target of zero injury  or zero loss of persons or  properties  etc.

A self intro - inspection is must. Safety is every one responsibility, wherever he/she is – at home, on road ,  picnic spot or   workplace. One has to be aware of his situation at every moment of time. What precaution or safety is needed should come naturally in mind . A serious concern by all means is essential to educate people to make safety a way of life.

Mining Engineering curriculum has inbuilt system of safety. There are Govt. regulations, guidelines, rules and act in place to safe guard the interest of mining professionals, mine work force , environment  and public or society in general. Regular programmes and audit systems are in place by professionals/authorities to ensure the compliances and also motivate people to develop a culture of safety.

Ambuja Cements Limited  have  established a system of OH&S  across the country in all locations as per  Holcim Safety pyramid guidelines.  People at all the  levels have been  educated and trained to understand the concept and methodology. Ambuja has employed  adequate nos of safety professionals at Corporate and plants level to ensure the compliances and proper implementation of the Safety systems . Holcim have a very strict and systematic systems , guidelines in the form of manuals, prepared by professionals to  fulfill the requirements  the international safety norms. Safe work practices in any organization/establishment/plant   ensure good housekeeping, productivity improvement, smooth  operations and a profitability. Let us join hand to make  Safety a way of life and make our Country, Organisation , plant & home a safe place to work.
